Bus Window

Reported via desktop in the Damage - other (bus stops and shelters) category anonymously at 19:44, Fri 24 November 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5250768.

Dear TFL.

I would like to remark on a strange and potentially serious/dangerous situation.

When one of your buses hits a tree and loses a window in the process, can you please make sure that the driver doesn’t leave said window hanging by a branch at head height right in the middle of a cycle lane!

The roads are dangerous enough as it is without a guillotine of glass, metal and rubber swinging in the dark in one of the busiest cycle lanes in east London.

This was at the westbound approach to the bridge over the River Lea between bus stops P & Q at around 23:00 on Tuesday 21st November.

I really cannot understand how or why the driver could leave a situation in such a dangerous state.

I have taken it down and put it against the wall near the entrance of the Thames Water Lea Bridge depot.
