No pedestrian indicator. Dangerous crossing!
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 11:26, Thu 30 November 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5268337.
I have now reported this multiple times and keep being told there is no problem but there is a serious problem at this crossing. There is no visible pedestrian indicator visible as you cross the road. All the indicators face inwards so cannot be seen once you have left the kerb. As well as this, there is a very short crossing time. I have spoken to other pedestrians and they agree this presents a real danger. This crossing is used by many children as well as the blind from the residential home by the crossing. I have tried to call the number given but after following all the instructions keep ending up with Oyster card enquiries. I simply don't understand how these lights, which are unlike any others that I have seen, are deemed safe. Can somebody please undertake a proper assessment before there's a serious accident.
