Noise pollution - Wellbeing off residents

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks category anonymously at 10:56, Tue 5 December 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5283772.

On Sunday 3rd of December, we had to withstand drilling outside of our windows from 7 pm until 10:45 pm and subsequently making noise until 4 am. I have a 5-month-old baby who was constantly waking up crying and screaming as the drilling was taking place until 10:45pm right outside our bedroom! There were no notifications left in our mailboxes about these works and even if we had been notified, what could we do except sleep elsewhere if we hoped to have any chance of sleep that night? I am attaching a video of Sunday night and Monday night I took off the work outside our window. It happened again last night Monday 4th December, this time the drilling was done almost until midnight!

It seems like the fact that there are residents living on Whitechapel Road is something mostly overlooked when planning works and this is outrageous.
