Loose rocks - skid hazard
Reported via mobile in the Debris in the carriageway category anonymously at 00:28, Fri 16 February 2024
Sent to TfL 2 months, 5 days, 9 hours, 46 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS5584250.
Could someone please clear the loose rocks off the road? It may seem harmless, but it is so dangerous for motorcyclists. Even knowing it's there, I am cautious and it is still a hazard. When there are loose rocks on the road the tyre no longer touches the ground, and instead rests on a few stones, which move as you drive over them and this is a skid hazard even in a straight line, but these rocks are also near a turning. And on a motorcycle you don't have the stability of 4 tyres. Every time I pass through it's sketchy, and has been like this for weeks. If I had to stop suddenly for a pedestrian I would probably skid because again you can't get adequate traction when you're only in contact with a few rocks rather than the road itself
