Traffic Light Does Not Detect Cyclists

Reported via mobile in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 18:43, Friday 16 February 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5588406.

For cyclists travelling East along the cycle track/service road adjacent to the Mall from Buckingham Palace towards Admiralty Arch, the traffic light at the junction with The Mall/ Horse Guards Road/the service road where cyclists would rejoin the Mall from the service road does not detect cyclists. I sat for several minutes and light cycles before realising the lights were not going to change. The lights do not seem to detect cyclists at all - I tried cycling in a circle in front of the sensor and shining my light at the sensor to no avail.
