Issue with temporary traffic lights for roadworks

Reported via mobile in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 18:03, Wednesday 28 February 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5645952.

Lights heading westbound have incorrect phasing. They go straight from red to green and back to red in seconds without allowing any cars to pass through. This is made worse by the traffic lights at the pedestrian crossing which prevent traffic heading westbound from clearing the single lane. This has been going on for weeks and is worse at certain times especially between 4pm and 6 pm. It only ever cleared properly when there was manual control. I see you have closed a previous report as investigated with no issue but this is clearly not the case. Please ensure that you do do your best to keep traffic moving!
