Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5687093.
There are two issues, neither has been fixed. Firstly, the green pedestrian light at the top of Totteridge Lane (where it meets the High Road) only goes green every 3rd time (after the cars have been 2 or 3 times). So, often the car and pedestrian lights are both on red at the same time so no-one can cross the road safely. There have been several incidents where people have almost been knocked over as it hardly ever goes green for pedestrians to safely cross the road, Secondly, there is a linked issue which is that the linked traffic light for cars turning right from High Road INTO Totteridge Lane is very out of sync. This results in the fact that when the pedestrian light is green for pedestrians crossing at the top of Totteridge Lane, cars are STILL turning right from High Road INTO Totteridge Lane at the same time! The cars are still turning and driving, thus often almost knocking pedestrians down. The traffic light for cars turning right from High Road INTO Totteridge Lane should be on red so that the cars stop BEFORE the pedestrian light goes green for pedestrians crossing at the top of Totteridge Lane. So many school children, parents and elderly people going to/from the shops/school use this light and both of these problems make it so dangerous. I have reported these issues on Streetcare and on the phone to TFL and I know several other people have rung about these as well. The status keeps being changed to fixed but NOTHING has been done at all to fix the problems as they are both still happening every single day. Please fix both issues ASAP. Thank you.
