Poor Signage - Speed Limits
Reported via mobile in the Worn out road markings category anonymously at 14:47, Tue 12 March 2024
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5702082.
St Helier Avenue, Merton/Sutton. This road allegedly now has a 30 speed limit (formerly 40). There is one, small, red sign on this road near its Morden end that states about having a new speed limit. There are virtually zero speed limit signs on this road. I strongly suggest that some are added. There are a number of speed cameras on this road, and it’s absolutely unfair and unjust that TfL be changing this speed limit and making such little effort to make that fact known. I understand that historically roads with 30 limits tended to just not have signage, however with the limit changing recently, and speed limits varying about all over the place of late, please make this considerably clearer for users of these affected roads.
