Warning sign needed that second half of contraflow cycle lane is not signal controlled
Reported via iOS in the Worn out road markings category anonymously at 17:22, Sun 17 March 2024
Sent to TfL 15 hours, 19 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS5726799.
A green light on the contraflow cycle lane means only to proceed halfway, not all the way across onto Richmond road. this is not clear and you emerge into traffic joining at speed from the left. The road markings are also faded. At least a warning sign needs putting on the island but a better fix would be to have a PIR crossing linked to the pedestrian phase across kingsgate road.
