Contradictory Speed Limit Sign and Speed camera

Reported via desktop in the Worn out road markings category anonymously at 12:24, Sat 20 April 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5877846.

When the speed limit is charged in March from 40 to 30 mph, when entering from the rose hill roundabout, it state clearly it’s a 30 mph zone, before the speed camera, it have a sign of 40mph, but as of today, suddenly there is a 30mph sign attached to the speed camera post, which is very unclear what’s the speed limit of that speed camera. (I really don’t know it’s 40 or 30, as i drive 40 as state before, problematic PCN will be issue if the limit is 30). So could you please rectify the problem and put more speed camera signs before it so that the drive know a speed camera is in front and what’s the limit

Updates

  • It is the same coming towards Rosehill roundabout from Oldfields Road. You are in a 40mph zone, with signs stating that but the speed camera now has a blue background 30 sign on it. The camera is situated BEFORE the speed limit has actually dropped to 30 but the camera is very close to the 30mph zone, so now very unclear as to whether it's set to 30 or 40mph
