Manhole Noise

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6016505.

There is a manhole cover in the road right outside my property. Over the last three weeks it has started to make loud banging noises whenever a vehicle goes over it. This is keeping my family and I awake at night. This noise is also vibrating through my house. The noise mainly happens at night. This is due to lass traffic and vehicles having more space in their lanes resulting in them moving further onto the manhole. It still happens during the days when bigger vehicles such as trucks, lorry's and buses going over it. I wanted to add this to the report in case you send a team out to investigate during the day time and they don't hear anything.

If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within two hours. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair.
