Loud illegal construction on Bank holiday and verbally abusive general contractor.
Reported via mobile in the Roadworks category anonymously at 10:48, Mon 27 May 2024
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6024228.
There was a very loud jackhammer construction in Redchurch and Boundary street. Starting at 8:00 AM on a bank holiday and incredibly loud. General contractor "Leslie Bryant" from "SIGN services" said the works were urgent, but it was clearly a singular lamp post being installed in a high end office space, and could not be less urgent. He was yelling and being verbally abusive on the phone and refused to stop the work or provide any permit number for the work. He also lied and said he worked at the hackney council before then changing his story to being hired by the council. The work has been highly disruptive for the whole street on the bank holiday, and Leslie was extremely vicious with his words and actions in response to complaints.
