  • Please note that when I went to the bus stop at South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, E14 4PU, around 4pm today (14/7/24) there were a large number of people waiting for a bus because there is no hood over the stop to indicate that it had been closed. I requested the driver of the D7 bus (LX61 DBV) I subsequently caught at the open Canary Wharf Station bus stop to let his supervisor know there were a large number of people waiting at the South Colonnade stop, but he refused to do anything about it saying it was a matter for Transport for London. What on earth is this for the driver of the bus service to disown serving the passengers he is contracted to pick up at bus stops? The driver then made an inaudible announcement (mumbling or the volume of the tannoy system was set at the lowest level) which was supposed to alert passengers on the D7 bus to the remaining bus stops at Canary Wharf being missed through the bus being on diversion. Last weekend on a bus returning from Crossharbour I heard a loud and clear diversion announcement at the same stop. Do you not have any system for passengers bringing concerns of this nature to your immediate attention? The buses run on weekends as well as from Monday to Friday when a 'chargeable' telephone contact number appears to be manned. Please take this as alerting you to the problem at Canary Wharf in an attempt to prevent further passengers from wasting their time at the 'closed' Canary Wharf bus stop. Please also take this as a complaint that the driver refused to pass on the information so it could be acted upon at once and also that no other service is provided by TfL for reporting such issues urgently.
