Pedestrian lights not working in the evenings

Pedestrian lights stuck on red in the evenings. This was fixed briefly but has reverted again. After around 7pm until some time in the morning there is NO pedestrian crossing phase at all, regardless of whether buttons are pushed. This seems to be correlated with the recent addition of a left-turn only traffic light for eastbound traffic. It is puzzling why this left-turn only light is even there given there is no noticeable positive impact on vehicle traffic flow, and it serves to slow down other eastbound vehicles travelling straight. Even worse, it has has apparently come at the expense of pedestrians being able to cross at all, placing vulnerable road users at significant risk on an intersection where cars often speed and vision is blocked around corners. This should be treated as a high priority given pedestrians are frequently opting to cross against the flow of traffic, and multiple near collisions have been witnessed.
