  • Thank you for contacting us regarding the traffic signals at Hogarth Roundabout. An engineer has investigated your enquiry and found a fault with the operation of the traffic signals. The traffic signals at this location operate on a system called SCOOT, which utilises detectors placed in the road to detect vehicles and measure demand for each approach to the junction. This information is used to adjust the length of the green signal given to each junction approach, in real time, based upon live fluctuations in traffic demand. The fault at this location means SCOOT has not been adjusting the length of the green signal as we would expect. We require additional time to resolve the issue and expect our investigation with changes to be completed within the next few weeks. Thank you once again for getting in touch.
