Dangerous lights

Reported via mobile in the Safety concern (traffic or pedestrian) category by Archie Ashworth Martin at 09:16, Sun 21 July 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6255198.

I regularly cycle to work and cross from tooting St James drive onto the B237 and over the bridge. Most mornings once the lights have gone green for our road to merge into the B237, I see and record multiple cars running the red lights heading south to the A214 and missing the backs of cars and cyclists heading the same way as me. There are some trees that are covering the lights meaning drivers only see the bottom green light and not the red for straight on. This has caused several near misses over the past few weeks and my concern is it will be a cycle may or pedestrian soon. Please get the light sequence changed or ensure the red light is visible.
