New road layout causing problems

Reported via mobile in the Safety concern (traffic or pedestrian) category anonymously at 10:27, Thursday 1 August 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6302312.

Since the new road layout has been done a few months ago, all we hear are cars beeping all day long. The new layout does not work! Previously, the turning left lanes were on a different light sequence but now we have 3 lanes not adhering to the road markings (which even the arrow markings are not clear) We now have the middle and right turn only lanes all going straight on - causing a bottle neck and then beeping of cars! I live nearby and noise has increased significantly since the new road layout. I spoke to Royal Borough of Greenwich and they advised that as the road is a red route it is TFL’s responsibility. Not sure why the road layout had to change in the first place but the new layout is clearly not working.
