Large pothole on busy road caused damage to my car
Reported via mobile in the Pothole (major) category by Charlie Panton Ward at 15:43, Wednesday 7 August 2024
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6328499.
Then Dear Sir/Madam, today on the 7th of August 2024 I was driving on the A1020 Southbound and hit a pothole. Please be aware that there was no way to avoid this due to cars being in the other lane and an island for pedestrians to cross being on the other side. This has caused damage to my car as it was very deep. My car is presently being inspected for damage and shall look to you for recompense in this regard. Furthermore, it could have easily caused a major accident on this road due to it being deep enough to pull the steering quite heavily to one side. Please respond by return or as soon as possible in order that this matter may be resolved quickly without it having to be escalated further. I do not know how long the issue has been here.
