Unacceptable state of footpath

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation category anonymously at 08:48, Thursday 8 August 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6330406.

Referring to previous reports 6101825 and 6234166. I won't post further photos as they are only worst than the first ones. Has somebody actually walked up this footpath from Buckingham Avenue through to Wincrofts Drive? The overgrown nettles, thistles and weeds are appalling as are the bushes from private properties hanging over the footpath (they need cutting back as much as anything else). You can barely get past in places. The alley from the footpath to Wincrofts is dark, overgrown, full of cans, dog poo, poo covered tissues and flytipping, along with a huge pile of leaves and debris from previous seasons. Walking through here as a lone woman is extremely unnerving. People sit and drink and smoke drugs and leave their rubbish behind. Everything needs to be cut back, swept up and left in a state acceptable for the public to use safely. At the moment it's like walking through a rubbish tip. I'm going to be writing to our local MP as this is an ongoing issue, is getting worse by the day and is an annual battle to get anything done. Please can somebody do something - certainly before winter as walking through here in the dark won't be an option. It's not safe. Thank you very much.
