Incorrect timing of the traffic lights eastbound on the A4 at Hogarth Roundabout
Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 09:11, Wed 21 August 2024
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6381184.
Incorrect timing of the traffic lights is giving rise to lengthy eastbound delays on the A4 approaching Hogarth Roundabout. Thi sproblem has been going on for a number of months. I note your response to ref: FMS6214213 that there is a problem with the SCOOT system. This was reported 6 weeks ago and there has been no change. Surely if you have not been able to fix the SCOOT system yet you could at least adjust the tidal settings on this light to ease morning congestion.

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the traffic signals at Hogarth roundabout. We are pleased to advise that the faults we reported with the vehicle detection system at this location have been rectified. An Engineer has since carried out observations and confirmed that the traffic signals are operating correctly, without fault. The automated traffic signal control technology is working to optimise green signals and resultantly reduce congestion as much as possible at this location. If the issue persists, please raise another report or contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234.
