Traffic lights timing wrong way round, priority for side roads ( Church Road and Clarence Street)
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 18:11, Thursday 29 August 2024
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6413734.
When light goes green for traffic going towards Richmond Circus on Kew Rd the lights at Richmond Circus has already gone red and there’s no space left for the traffic from Richmond station side to go towards Richmond Circus and only vehicles that have passed the solid white line can move towards Richmond Circus but at the same time lights for Clarence Street goes green so there’s a chance of traffic accidents at the junction of Kew Rd, Church Road and Clarence Street. The solution will be for the traffic lights at Richmond Circus and the ones at Kew Road ( Richmond Station side) to be synchronised like they used to be. At the moment Quadrant Rd and Kew Rd have unnecessary traffic jam with all the buses stuck. Your slogan of Every Journey Matters To TFL And …. sounds absolutely ridiculous and the genius who has come up with idea of fiddling with these lights in the first place needs to get their head examined.
