Large trees and overgrown vegetation to be cut at both approaches to the bridge in pinned location
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation category anonymously at 11:10, Wed 4 September 2024
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6434713.
We have had 4 no. bridge strikes in last 2 years (and over 30 since 2008) and one of the reasons which could lead to recent frequent bridge strikes is the large number of trees vegetation potentially obscuring the low headroom signage present on the bridge and allowing larger than permissible vehicles to go under the bridge and strike it. There also appears to be lack of advanced warning signage at both approaches.
