Hole in pavement - Possible Sinkhole

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6463306.

MOP says there is a hole on the pavement developing. Appears to be forming a sinkhole. MOP has placed a traffic cone on it temporarily, but says needs attention asap. Located in front of 199 Whitechapel Road(between restaurant & coffee shop). Noticed around 2315hrs today.

This has been investigated and has now been referred to our contractors. If this defect is confirmed as a safety issue this will be made safe within two hours. If a permanent repair is required, we will aim to carry it out within 28 days.     Please also be aware that, all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, the fault will be fixed within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer
