Careless contractor leaving both temporary and permanent lights showing.

Unfortunately this contractor is clearly not thinking about cyclist safety. While they are Installing temporary traffic lights they have covered them to avoid confusion for drivers and pedestrians. Sadly or perhaps tragically given the numbers of fatalities on this part of the road, they did not bother to cover the extra lights for cyclists so red and Green signals show simultaneously. In the run up to these lights Cara are driving in the cycle lane (to maintain two rows of traffic Ironically one of the outcomes of these works is improving safety for cyclists so it looks like a poor choice of contractor.
