Cycling traffic lights stuck on red
Reported via desktop in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 10:01, Tuesday 15 October 2024
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6616311.
The traffic lights for the north-west bound cycle lane outside the Wetherspoons pub (The Surrey Docks) are stuck on red unless southbound cyclists are waiting (rare in the morning) or traffic is queuing in the lane to the left. This is due to the sensor for the northbound traffic lights being pointed towards the southbound car lane instead of the cycle lane.
I see this was reported on 30 August and closed on 28 September, but over two weeks later either someone has turned the sensor again, or it was never actually fixed.
This is forcing cyclists to go through the junction on a red light.
