Roadworks causing chaos with no end in sight

Reported via desktop in the Bus Station - Damage to road or pavement within the Bus Station category anonymously at 14:02, Wed 23 October 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6649886.

This morning Sopwith Way was suddenly reduced to one lane, which caused gridlock during morning rush hour and forced buses to go on diversion, including mine (Falcon 461). One.network suggests this was part of the Cromwell Road Bus Station works. I cannot find any information as to how long this lane closure will go on for, nor can I find out how much longer the bus station is due to be closed for. I'd be grateful if we could have more information on the works and ideally more advance warning of lane closures to busy roads.
