Roots on pavement

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown vegetation category anonymously at 14:05, Thu 31 October 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6680358.

The root was growing across the sidewalk from under the fence at the top of the steps at Morden Road Tram Stop. It was dark (8:15 pm, Sunday 27 Oct) and I caught my foot under the root and fell down heavily on my face, sustaining injuries to my nose and chin (being the most severe) and also to my left big toe and knee and right fingers, wrist, forearm and shoulder joint. I lay on the floor in shock intil a kind person came along and walked me home, whereafter I repaired the gash in my nose under phone instruction. I have now taken photos (on my phone) of the offending root(s) and of my face. I am not sure how to send them. I also took gardening secateurs and cut the roots in case anyone else has a similar accident.
