Traffic light on Eastern Avenue turning right onto Beehive Lane

Reported via mobile in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 18:48, Sat 23 November 2024

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS6774774.

The traffic light on Eastern Avenue, Redbridge which is at the junction where you turn right onto Beehive Lane is faulty. The traffic light sensor does not pick up any vehicles that are slightly behind the line. It only picks up vehicles that are either very close or at the line. This can mean the traffic light does not change which can cause a queue of cars especially during busy periods. A lot of drivers are unaware that they need to be at the line for the sensor/light to work i.e. change. Please could you kindly resolve this issue ASAP - this has been an issue for a long time now. Many thanks
