Subject: Urgent Concern Regarding Non-Operational Traffic Lights
THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE SAFETY CONCERN THAT REQUIRES INVESTIGATION. Thank you for your prompt response and for escalating this issue to the contractor. While I appreciate your efforts, I must emphasize the critical urgency of this matter due to the significant safety risks involved.
The current situation poses a severe hazard to pedestrians, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children, who are unable to cross safely. The potential for accidents, injuries, or even fatalities is alarmingly high given the busy nature of this road.
I am deeply concerned that the report will be automatically closed after 28 days without a definitive resolution. This issue requires immediate and tangible action to ensure the safety of all road users. Delaying or failing to address this promptly could result in avoidable tragedies, for which accountability would be necessary.
I urge you to expedite the contractor’s response and implement temporary measures, such as assigning traffic marshals or installing alternative pedestrian controls, until the traffic signals are fully operational. Please keep me informed of the steps being taken to resolve this issue and provide a timeline for resolution.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in prioritizing public safety.
