Clanging cover of manholes making noise

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7015111.

Clanging cover of manholes making noise every time a car or bus is passing over it. Would need some hammer to push back the cover in or add something to block the cover so it remains in place. Maybe utilities companies did not close it well? Last time they used? Quite dangerous as I saw e-scooter surprised by it too and almost falling down. Very painful noise as my daughter’s bedroom is just next… thx for fixing it asap!

If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within two hours. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair.
