Rough sleeping

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Overcrowding category anonymously at 12:37, Thursday 23 January 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7021653.

Comments: Am concerned about the safety of an encampment that is under the fly over opposite the Mcdonalds. There is a large wooden structure and a green tent. At least two people are rough sleeping there. They are known to local outreach teams and receiving support and pathways off the street have been identified. It has come to note that they maybe tapping into the electricty which of course is dangerous. Is there anyway this can be checked and if possible switched off. Am concerned about the fire risks this poses

  • They are still there and the encampment is getting bigger and more dangerous. There is now black smoke stained up the bridge and coming from one of the wooden huts, very dangerous!
