The wait button on the plough way side only sporadically works
Reported via iOS in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 16:31, Thursday 30 January 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7060489.
The wait button on the plough way side of lower road only works randomly. Sometimes you have to press it 5 or 6 times before the light goes on. In addition, the timings for pedestrians to cross the road are too long waiting and when you do get a green walk sign, it’s on for approximately 3 seconds. There is also a disconnect between the 2 lights, so it is not possible to fully cross lower road from either side across the island to the other in a single segment, the wait in the middle is another several minutes. This could all be solved with a slightly longer green man on each of the segments and a reduced pedestrian wait to cross. It seems as though despite the alleged priority for less environmentally polluting ways to travel, when you do choose one, you are penalised in the priorities.
