Contradicting lights

Reported via mobile in the Safety concern (traffic or pedestrian) category anonymously at 19:08, Monday 3 February 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7080435.

One side would be red and other side would be green which is confusing drivers. Safety risk as pedestrians are crossing and drivers see one green light so think it's safe to go through.

  • To add to this, the bike traffic light on the far left is angled in such a way that cars frequently mistake it for their signal. My children and I were almost hit by a car yesterday. There is surely no need to have a cycle signal that high up at the same level as the car signal.
