Traffic is backing up

Reported via desktop in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 09:34, Wednesday 5 February 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7088322.

Traffic is backing up all day from lights to 58 Coombe Lane West, Kingston Upon Thames, KT2 7BY

In the last three-four weeks traffic has been backed up from the lights at Coombe Lane West/Galsworhy Road.

It's solid almost stationary traffic (and pollution!) most of the day.

There are no diversions in the area and the phase of the traffic lights seems to have changed letting very few cars through with each phase - there is usually no traffic beyond the lights into Kingston.

The phasing of the above traffic lights has been altered or defective such that it is holding up traffic for no reason and incidentally delaying access for ambulances to Kingston Hospital

Kind regards Russell Pedley
