Cars often not stopping at red lights for the pedestrian crossing on the northbound exit of leabridge roundabout

Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 20:07, Wednesday 5 February 2025

TfL ref: FMS7092670.

On numerous occasions I have been waiting at the pedestrian crossing on the A107 northbound exit from Lea Bridge roundabout and cars have not stopped at the red light. It’s happened so many times in that particular spot now that I’m wondering if it’s something to do with the road layout, maybe drivers are focusing on the lanes merging and don’t notice the red light, I don’t know. But it’s happened so many times now, most recently just this evening. It not that they’re speeding through on an amber light, or a light that has only just turned red, it’s more that they’re just carrying on through a long time after it has turned red and the green man is already on. So many drivers seem totally oblivious to the crossing. Also when it’s busy, cars constantly block the crossing so if you have a pram or bike, you can’t cross when the green man is on. The rest of the roundabout seems fine. Just something about that exit
