No Pedestrian Crossing - completely unsafe to cross

Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 06:15, Tuesday 4 March 2025

TfL ref: FMS7221198.

There is no pedestrian crossing on this huge busy junction at the bottom of Blackheath Hill, Greenwich South Street and Lewisham Road. It is extremely unsafe to cross this road. I have to cross multiple times a day to do school drop off and pick up as do many other families. Even when the light turns red for oncoming cars to stop, they can still come round from the crossroads. They also get too impatient to wait and come through rather than waiting an block the crossing making it impossible for pedestrians. I have attached a photo of the “safest” time to cross. I have seen many near misses both for pedestrians and traffic accidents. Please don’t wait until a fatality happens to do something about this crossing.
