Vehicles are going to cause serious harm if something isn’t done
Reported via mobile in the Safety concern (traffic or pedestrian) category anonymously at 12:05, Wednesday 12 March 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7266615.
I use this crossing 4 times a day. Almost every time, a vehicle almost wipes me out by turning left/right (depending which way they’re coming) down to Catford. The pedestrian light is green. A heavy goods vehicle almost ran over my 5 year old, even though we were allowed to be crossing - it is so dangerous.
It happened twice today - one with a (thankfully) slower moving car which I took a picture of. And also a police van did it. Something is clearly not ok with the signage and it won’t be long before someone is killed or seriously hurt and it’ll be on TFLs watch because you’ve been informed of this issue before

Green man is clearly visible - car, taking no notice. All it takes is a pedestrian with headphones in, and a speeding car to create a really serious accident
