Concerns Regarding Traffic Light Timing on Putney Hill and High Street

Reported via mobile in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 08:25, Thursday 13 March 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7270838.

Dear Wandsworth Council,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the traffic light timing on Putney Bridge, which I use daily during my commute to work. The green light duration is extremely short, causing severe congestion, especially during peak hours. Despite the short distance, it sometimes takes up to 40 minutes to cross the bridge due to frequent and brief traffic light changes.

This situation not only leads to unnecessary delays but also contributes to increased traffic congestion in the area. I kindly request that the traffic light timings be reviewed and adjusted to facilitate smoother traffic flow, particularly in the mornings when the bridge is heavily used.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your positive response.

Best regards, Gulce Erucan Westleigh Avenue,11 Kings Keep,Putney 07778861929
