No predestination crossing

There is no pedestrian crossing on this major crossroad and it is extremely unsafe to cross. Cars and huge lorrys pile through after the light have changed and when it should be the safest time to walk, they still drive at you. They are also vehicles often blocking the crossing. I have to cross this road multiple times a day to do my school run and it is extremely dangerous. Please put in a proper crossing before there is a fatality. I have contacted Greenwich council about this but they have said it is for you to sort out.
