Crazy traffic jam caused by road blocks but no road works.

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7440414.

There is no road works, but blocked lanes and crazy long/delayed temporary traffic lights cause miles long traffic jam. There is no visible reason these lanes should be closed and there's no visible reason there should be temporary traffic lights. It's a potential danger as well, as it's delaying emergency response time.

  • Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. We had planned major UKPN works. The works were planned during school holidays and further mitigation with advance warning strategy and extensive stakeholder / resident / businesses consultation.

    The works were in its last phase where concrete was curing, which could explain the inactivity on site. UKPN returned on 16th April to complete reinstatement and clear site.
