Uneven road surfaces leading to home shaking.
Reported via desktop in the Pothole (minor) category anonymously at 20:46, Sunday 20 April 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7458540.
There are multiple areas of uneven road services that don't look like much at first, but when heavy and large vehicles and lorries go over these areas (particularly vans with skips or similar containers on the back) it is very noticeable as there is a loud rattling/banging noise followed my my whole home vibrating/shaking. There are 2/3 areas on the road with this issue, meaning that each time these vehicles go by, my whole home shakes 2/3 times. It's bad enough this happening once, but being a red route, these vehicles are going past literally continuously throughout the day. The biggest issue is in the early hours of the morning, as my internal doors shake and actually wakes me up from my sleep.
To identify these areas, all you need to do is wait around this area and wait for one of these vehicles to go by and you will hear where it happens. I believe there's one area just before the GP surgery, one just by the bus stop and one more just as the road starts to bend around the leisure centre.
I have also submitted an online form complaint about this, who have said an internal team will be investigating this - but have also requested I submit this form.
