Traffic lights facing wrong direction & pedestrian safety barriers damaged
Reported via desktop in the Damage - pole leaning / equipment detached from pole/facing the wrong direction category by Prakash Tanna at 06:25, Tuesday 22 April 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7462318.
There was an RTA yesterday at Five Ways Corner - Junction of A41/A1. The traffic lights pole at the crossing for the A41 southbound is damaged and the lights now face the A1 northbound traffic. This needs correcting. There was also an RTA several months ago involving a police car and the pedestrian safety barriers were cut and damaged by the RTA and fire brigade. Nobody returned to repair this. There is a risk to life as cars can now easily go through the barriers and this needs repairing ASAP considering collisions happen here very few days. Thank you

Thank you for the update and prompt response. The police were meant to reprot this yesterday but looks like they did not.
Can you confirm you have also raised a task to repair the safety railings for the crossing which were damaged 17th Jan 2025, over 3 months ago and never repaired since ?? Thank you

Has been 48hrs+ and nobody has been to repair the lights? This is an ac ident waiting to happen. Also nobody has responded about the barriers which were left unsafe 3 months. Does a pedestrian have to be run over or seriously injured before TFL take action ??
