Manhole cover is very loose almost coming out of its frame
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7464512.
Can you not sort out this manhole cover once and for all - its been loose for ages and makes a loud noise every time a vehicle goes over it - thousands of times a day and NIGHT - sort it out !!!!!!! - there are people and children trying to sleep !

Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we have now referred it to our contractors. If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within one hour. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair. This still remains a noisy drain cover with thousands of vehicles passing over it every hour of every day - we have children trying to sleep !! there was night maintenance on the opposite carriageway for two nights this week !! - why was it not looked at then ? please please please sort this out

Still awaiting for the loose cover to b e attended to. Guessing it will have to become fully dislodged before you do anything !

Still nothing has been done - another weekend we have to listen to the clack clack every time a car goes over it - it would literally take to minutes to lift and turn the cover for it to seat correctly . you have had road maintenance with temp traffic lights only metres away whilst they dobbed tarmac everywhere to patch the road up ! FFS how long does it take - its been well over 4 weeks now !!!!!
