Comments: I am writing about the traffic lights on Green Lanes, N21 at the junction of Station Road and Fords Grove, N21. There are two lanes of traffic: the left-hand lane goes straight ahead, the right-hand lane is to turn right into Fords Grove. There are two traffic light signals side-by-side, one for straight ahead and one for the right-hand lane turning right. However, the lights are set up on the wrong side. When the signal goes green for the left-hand lane of traffic to go straight ahead, it is the right-hand light which turns green first, which is an arrow pointing straight up. Then the signal changes to green for the left-hand lane of traffic to move forward and turn right into Fords Grove, but that is the signal on the left-hand side which is a standard traffic light with round red/amber/green lights. I have seen many occasions of drivers being confused as to which is the right signal for them to move. I think traffic lights should operate with a standard signal (or an upward facing arrow) on the left for the left-hand lane to move forward, and the arrow signal for the right turn into Fords Grove should be position to the right of that and changed to an arrow pointing right.
