Uneven paving at 305 Thornton rd

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category by Cllr Stuart King at 20:59, Sunday 4 May 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7522510.

The tree on Thornton Rd (outside property 305) is on the public highway. The roots of the tree have raised the pavement to such a degree that it is very uneven and difficult for those in a wheelchair or pushing a buggy to pass it. For a wheelchair use there is no way past without going into the road, the busy A23.

Please can TFL officers inspect the site and see if work can be undertaken to reduce the hazard for vulnerable pedestrians at this location.

Thank you.

Councillor Stuart King Croydon Council
