A10 subway
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 13:40, Thursday 22 May 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7605290.
This subway under the A10 is used daily by lots of school children and families using it to cross on the commute. It’s very depressing often littered with rubbish and suspected human faeces. Here is an abandoned bike and some pipes. I was keen to find out if there are any plans to regenerate the tunnel walls at any point or if not whether there was a way to do an art project with the Firs Farm school and the local community to paint the walls with murals to improve the wellbeing of the local people using it daily. As a local user of it I find it very depressing and does not help the locality to feel proud to live there in its current state. It’s labelled: A10/13.20.
As a local creative connected to Firs farm school I would love to find out if there any groups/ programmes or funds that could be applied to to create a mural inside this particular tunnel.
