Dangerous pedestrian crossing phase
Reported via mobile in the Safety concern (traffic or pedestrian) category anonymously at 16:40, Wednesday 11 June 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7695153.
The pedestrian crossing phase is incredibly short, meaning people with mobility issues can not cross safely, The phasing of the lights means that green man is quickly flashing at the same time as amber flashing for vehicles. This results in people dashing across the crossing on the flashing green man at the same time that vehicles start moving. There was a recent fatality here.

I witnessed another accident at these traffic lights this morning. Lights flashing green for pedestrians and amber for vehicles and a cyclist hit a pedestrian. The lights are too short for pedestrians to cross. Please remove the flashing lights so avoid further fatal accidents abs ensure that there is sufficient time for pedestrians to cross when green.
