Manhole cover is causing high levels of noise pollution even through soundproofed glass - gunshot level

Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 00:23, Monday 30 June 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7782736.

Cover is loose and causing gunshot-strength sounds even through sound-proofed glass whenever a vehicle drives over. Road is extremely busy. Impossible to have windows open now in heat of summer - unbearable. Cover is outside Jet Service Station 102-106 The Hwy, London E1W 2BU. There may be another on the other side just up the road but the main culprit is that pictured. Most grateful if this could be repaired ASAP pursuant to section 41 of the Highways Act 1980. Happy to provide further information as necessary.
