Large pot hole which caused damage

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (major) category anonymously at 01:12, Sunday 6 July 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS7814813.

Location: westbound, A12, E20, lane 2 of 3

In the middle lane there is a large pothole approximately 300 meters away from the junction of East way, E20

Circumstances: Traveling towards westfield where a there was a large pot hole in the middle lane, lane 2 of 3 where traveling at 50mph caused a very loud noise where the entire car was shaken and a car alarm went off indicating that there is has been flat tyre, i checked the dash board indication showing that i need pull over or slow down as there has been potential damage and i need to inflate my right offside front tyre. When I pulled over and parked up there was a massive bulge popping out of the tyre, the vehicle had run flat tyres which i was still able to travel below 80km/h

I then took the relevant pictures of the tyre and dash board, unfortunately I could not stop and take pictures of the pot hole in lane 2 of 3 in the fast lane of 50mph dual carriage way.

Type of pot hole: large and deep and very sharp around the edges
