Concern Regarding Rubbish Dumping at Warner Road Bus Stop (SE5, Camberwell)
Reported via mobile in the Shelter needs cleaning (hazardous waste) category anonymously at 10:24, Friday 19 September 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS8186364.
I’m writing to raise a concern about the Warner Road bus stop in Camberwell (SE5), where buses 185, 36, and 436 regularly stop. Each morning, my family and I use this stop to travel to work and school. Unfortunately, the area has increasingly become a site for regular rubbish dumping. Local food shops and some residents appear to use the bus stop to offload waste, and the rubbish is rarely fully cleared throughout the day. I’ve attached a photo taken this morning at 9:30 AM to illustrate the current condition. This issue has persisted for over a year. Previously, rubbish was left on the side road of Warner Road, which wasn’t ideal either—especially as it was directly in front of a smoothie shop with outdoor seating. However, the current situation at the bus stop is even more problematic, both for hygiene and for the comfort of passengers. I’m unsure whether this falls under If relocating the bus stop a few metres up the road is a possibility, or if there’s a way to address the waste disposal practices in the area, I’d be grateful for any guidance or support you can offer. Thank you for taking the time to consider this matter.
